Amy Metcalfe is an 8 time ACMA nominated multi talented singer/songwriter from Red Deer Alberta.She has co-written with Grammy award winners,played festivals in China and been top 50 on Canadian Country Billboard Music. With self penned songs on pop and country radio, her love for song writing and talent to tell a story is evident in every song.

 

     She has written over 250 songs herself and co-written with talents such as Byron Hill (Gary Allen, Kenny Rogers, George Strait….) Grammy award winners and Nominees Cindy Morgan and Wayne Kirkpatrick (Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Martina Mcbride, Trisha Yearwood…),Duane Steele (Gord Bamford) , and Phil Madeira(Garth Brooks, Civil Wars, Toby Keith…) to name a few.

 

      Her debut EP was released spring of 2015, with 6 of the 7 tracks written on her own. Charting Top 20 in the iTunes Charts, and featured on the home page.

          Upon releasing her EP Amy alongside Royalty Records she decided to release a third single to radio, that was not from the album. Not only did she release a song that was strictly sold as a single, she released it as a duet with Labelmate and CCMA Rising Star Nominee Tristan Horncastle.

 

          The duo performed a song written by Amy and Byron Hill. The mix of Tristan’s smooth traditional country vocals and Amy’s more modern country feel was a hit with radio. Placing them on Billboards top 100 for 11 weeks and peaking in the top 50. The song is gaining recognition among other writers and artists in U.S and landed a hold by Reba Mcintres team, until her project was dropped in order to pursue gospel.

 

           A love to perform and be on stage rooted in a 13 year dance career Amy aspires to impact the music scene in a big way by embracing radio and performances across Canada. Over the past couple of years she has played an international festival in Chengdu China, opened up for Diamond Rio, and embarked on Canada wide radio tours. Her hopes are that with every performance and listen you experience, you leave with a sense of who she is and can relate to the life in her lyrics.
